What I Do

My duties at the PGC include providing remote sensing, GIS, and geospatial data project support for researchers and scientists studying or operating within Arctic and Antarctic regions. I serve as a point of contact to federally funded entities to fulfill data requests for remote sensing imagery, digital elevation models, and derivative cartographic products. I also perform data processing and production efforts necessary to augment various research objectives, and provide expertise on geospatial topics as they relate to polar regions. Beyond supporting NSF research and logistics endeavors, I also assist other PGC staff with education and outreach initiatives intended to further develop relationships in the research community and advance the greater polar science agenda.

Education

Interests

In my free time I like to camp, ski, snowboard, ice fish, and golf as much as weather in Minnesota permits. I also enjoy curating my treasured (and always-growing) collection of disco/funk/R&B/Motown and classic hip-hop vinyl records. I own several bonsai trees that constantly demand my attention and challenge my patience, although I find this variety of horticulture extremely rewarding and quite humbling.
