Michael Clementz
Geospatial Support Assistant, PGC

What I Do

I provide geospatial support to polar researchers and help them accomplish their research goals. This is done through collection, manipulation, and processing of satellite imagery. I also work with others at the PGC to deliver geographic data and provide general support to requesting parties.

Education

  • Master of Geographic Information Science (MGIS), University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, Expected 2016
  • BS, Geography with a Minor in Environmental Studies and Psychology, Illinois State University, 2010

Interests

My lifelong love of atlases, maps, and aerial imagery has led me to work toward a MGIS degree and to obtain a position with the PGC.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to new and exciting places, playing trivia at local watering holes, playing basketball and other sports, attending sporting events, watching the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Rays, and trying new things.
